Joomla! Template Disclaimer
*Please note that the templates featured on this site are third party products developed by a third party vendor to work with the Joomla! CMS developed by Open Source Matters. For template-related support issues, please direct questions to this site, not to the Joomla! Project or Open Source Matters. *Joomla! is the trademark of Open Source Matters, Inc.The Joomla!™ templates sold by Joomla Template Shop are sold as independent extensions to the Joomla! CMS infrastructure. While these templates have been tested to ensure as much consistency as possible, it should be noted that because these Joomla! website templates are designed to interact with the dynamic Joomla! CMS infrastructure, Joomla Template Shop can take no responsibility for the consistency of the design scheme when the purchaser of the template makes various changes to the internal set-up of their particular Joomla! site.
In order to make your Joomla! website launch as seamless as possible JTS provides information of all the module settings used with each Joomla! template. And when we provide links to any additional extensions used in our live demos within your template instructions. If you desire the same functionality you see featured with our templates you will need to download these extensions. An example of such extensions include: events calendar, slideshow module, paypal buttons, etc. However, for the sake of simplicity for the end-user we typically aim to work with the default Joomla settings, so as to make the transition from the default Joomla! template, to one of our custom Joomla! templates, as simple as possible.
If you are unfamiliar with Joomla! we highly recommend you download Joomla! and install the default template on your server. We also recommend that you familiarize yourself with the workings of the infrastructure prior to jumping in full-force. While Joomla! offers robust flexibility, and the possibility of maintaining a website without prerequisite HTML knowledge (as would be the case with a standard template), Joomla! is still a unique environment that takes time to learn.
Joomla Template Shop cannot, and does not, take responsibility for the inner workings of the Joomla! infrastructure itself as we are merely a vendor for third-party templates. As such, we will not be able to offer follow-up technical support regarding the inner workings of Joomla when the issue is unrelated to the workings of the template itself!. This is why we recommend you understand how Joomla! works PRIOR to launching your own Joomla! website using one of our Joomla! templates.
That said, the great thing with Joomla! is that it was developed by, and is supported by, the Open Source community. And as such there are numerous, excellent online resources to help get your Joomla! questions answered. We would recommend some of the following resources to both introduce you to, and support you in your Joomla! website development.
Please note that Joomla Template Shop, as a third party vendor, is only responsible for the actual Joomla template(s) purchased from this website. While we are available for questions regarding template issues specifically, we cannot help troubleshoot issues pertaining to the actual Joomla database and/or infrastructure. Since we are neither responsible for, nor able to access, the underlying Joomla infrastructure, all questions regarding Joomla security issues, database interaction, version compatibility, and the like, should be directed to the official Joomla forums and the official Joomla security team.
Please Note: We can only guarantee the template version you purchased works, and renders properly, within the Joomla database it’s developed for. In other words, if you purchase a 1.5 Joomla template then you can expect it to be fully compatible with any 1.5x version. If there is an update to a version such as 1.6 etc, you should not expect a 1.5, or 1x template, to necessarily work in these later database versions. Although there is legacy mode and template override functions available for reverse compatibility, we still cannot guarantee an older template will work in future Joomla versions. Please note: 1.6, 1.7, and 2.5 Joomla will all be compatible, and are are considered the same version.
SQL DUMP (For 1.6/1.7/2.5 Joomla): Please note that the SQL dump we provide is offered as a courtesy to our customers. We offer no guarantee as to its successful installation in every incidence, as other factors, unique to each database, may impact the dump in various ways. The choice to install the SQL dump is therefore that of the customer, and all follow-up technical issues that may or may not arise are the responsibility of the customer to deal with. We will not be able to troubleshoot those issues for the customer. BROWSER COMPATIBILITY: We do develop and test templates across browsers to make sure they function correctly in all major browsers. This includes Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari and others. Please note that, along with many other major web-based product companies, while we do support Internet Explorer 7 and 8, we no longer support IE 6 (as of Jan 1st 2011). This is because IE 6 is well known to be an archaic browser that renders many web functions incorrectly, and others not at all. If you or someone you know is in the small minority of people still using IE 6, we strongly encourage you to join the modern age and upgrade to a more recent version of Internet Explorer - which has really improved its performance and compatibility over its more recent versions.
